Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Steam PC Review

Like other main games in its franchise, Mortal Kombat is the 1-on-1 fighting game that has spawned movies, spin offs and even a cartoon show. After the 3D fighting of the PS2 and a crossover game with Mortal Kombat vs … Continue reading Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Steam PC Review

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Game Boy Advance Review

To start with the fighting is in 3D, there are seven playable characters (Jax, Sonya, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Kenshi, Ki Mei and Frost) and five hidden characters to unlock (Kitana, Kano, Sub-Zero, Kwan Chi, Shang Tsung). The fighting controls are very simple, the A button is the kick button, the B button is the punch and the R button is for blocking. What makes this different than other portable fighting games is that usually a character has one set of fighting moves, and a few special moves to use, but with this game each character has two different fighting styles! … Continue reading Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Game Boy Advance Review

Tekken Advance Game Boy Advance Review

This game is a 3D fighting game based around Tekken 3, with 9 playable fighters (Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, Nina, Law, Gun Jack, Hwoarang, Paul, King and Jin). With the Playstation version of this fighting game, for each character you beat the game with, it will play a movie and you will earn a new playable fighter, however, it is not like this in the Gameboy Advance version. Also, Heihachi is the leader of the game, and not … Continue reading Tekken Advance Game Boy Advance Review

Dead or Alive 3 XBox Review

After seeing the commercials for this game it had me convinced that this was a fighting game that features all female fighters. I was wrong of course, but instead it features a slew of copied fighters from Tekken (Playstation game), pro wrestling (There is a wrestler that looks exactly like Hulk Hogan) and Ninja Gaiden (very old Nintendo game). The game itself is much like Tekken and the graphics are astonishing, with incredibly detailed fighting arenas that interact with the fighters, such as electric fences, which do more damage and areas with deep snow where you can run through the … Continue reading Dead or Alive 3 XBox Review

Primal Rage SNES Review

This is a Mortal Kombat clone, with huge amounts of blood, and two fatalities for each competitor. The only difference with this game is that all of the fighters are pre-historic! Two apes, a big dinosaur, a fire breathing legendary dinosaur, a raptor and much more. The gameplay is much like Street Fighter 2, and the gameplay is very slow, because you are fighting as dinosaurs! Another interesting feature is that for those who like to use the same move over and over again, the game laughs at you. Pretty cheap game, rent it before you buy it.
